Mentoring: personal guidance
in the path of the heart.
IAM offers a beautiful and powerful method
for opening the heart
and discovering the gifts it holds.
The techniques we use are simple to learn;
the result is incredibly grand.
Yet this path filled with wonder is rarely taken,
frequently abandoned once started,
and rarely pursued to the prize.
This wonderful method is best directed by a mentor who has
used it and learned the steps.
The IAM certified Mentor is
specifically trained to guide people individually
through the steps and levels of the IAM method,
including the different seminars and retreats, and the application
of the heart's guidance and power to the challenges of everyday life.
What is an IAM Mentor?
A person experienced with Heart Rhythm Practice who can help you learn it
and apply it in your life.
The mentor has the responsibility to help you take your next step in the path.
Their role is an active one, initiating contact with you and
encouraging you onward, toward your fulfillment.
IAM has a method; mentorship is what makes IAM a school.
Is a Mentor a therapist?
Not a therapist of the usual kind. An IAM Mentor uses
Heart Rhythm Therapy,
a revolutionary method of personal development that encourages the
development of uniqueness and pursuit of one's own purpose in life.
IAM does not use a model of dysfunction;
we see a person's weaknesses as evidence of an inner quality that could be
developed.
We follow a model that leads to the completion
of the personality, accomplished through the inspiration and power of the heart.
Most importantly, the Mentor offers you their direct experience
with the divine.
What does the mentor do?
The mentor helps you answer three questions:
Accomplishment:
What is your most pressing need, in which you are currently
engaged? This need is connected to a specific
dimension of your heart
and will immediately respond to your heart's development
in that area.
Realization:
What is your internal model of reality, that which determines
how your life unfolds? How does your understanding of the heart
create the challenges that appear in every area of your life
and your attitude toward others and yourself?
Character:
How can you be a better example of your archetype: a wise,
magnanimous, inspiring, loving person? In what life
situations can you live up to your ideal,
and in what situations can you not?
These three questions
direct the work with the heart into concrete and practical
applications, and they also encompass the whole ideal of
a heart that is healed, receptive, powerful and servicable.
The mentor will help you apply Heart Rhythm Practice to each of these
three questions.
How do you interact with an IAM Mentor?
You and your Mentor would arrange a monthly meeting of an hour, perhaps at
an IAM seminar, at the Mentor's home, or over the phone. Or the time
could be accumulated for a less frequent, longer meeting, or
divided into more frequent, shorter meetings.
Mentorship is a year-long contract for both parties.
The fee for the year is $1,440, divided into 12 monthly payments of $120.
If additional time with your Mentor is needed it may be available,
depending on your Mentor's availability, at the same rate.
You will be expected
to attend at least one IAM seminar or webcourse a year
while you're in the mentoring program since your experience with the
IAM method is the foundation of your work with your Mentor.
How does one become a Mentor?
IAM provides a comprehensive
program for initial training and ongoing
development of the Mentors.
Puran and Susanna Bair mentor the Mentors and regularly
review the Mentors' advice and methodology.

We urge you to take advantage of this program, combining
Heart Rhythm Practice and a personal relationship with someone
who has received the training and accepted the responsibility
for helping others.
This is the combination that has worked for us, and we are very glad
to be able to offer it to you.
